Daniel De Sousa and Cristina Fernández

Daniel De Sousa and Cristina Fernández are a Barcelona-Berlin creative duo bringing together music, literature and performance, with roots connecting Venezuela, Spain and Latin America. Daniel De Sousa is a Venezuelan musician, producer and DJ, and a member of the internationally acclaimed band La Vida Bohème since 2006. Over two decades, he has performed at stages and festivals including Austin City Limits, SXSW, Central Park Summerstage and La Mercè in Barcelona. With the band, he has received two Latin Grammy Awards and a Grammy nomination. Based in Berlin, Daniel has also expanded his practice into electronic music, exploring techno, guaracha and house. Cristina Fernández is an engineer from Barcelona with a deep interest in literature, design, fashion and music. Before turning her attention to other creative disciplines, she was a professional runner, competing in the Spanish Championship Games and becoming Spain’s runner-up in the 400 metres. That same discipline and focus now inform her curiosity as an avid reader, musician and writer. She plays ukulele, DJs and has recently begun developing her own writing practice.
