B Cell City an interdisciplinary multimedia work in progress based on the interface of medicine/science with visual art and the performing arts including music and a fashion show. A project by Antonio Lai da Teulada for Mumbai Oxygen Art - 2020 - Watch video by clicking here.
B Cell City is a multi-media project about art and science based on cancer and conceived by Antonio Lai da Teulada for CAM Art Co. The project is organized on two levels: one level is an electronic opera in real time. This music project is organized for theaters and music institutions alike; the second is the installation in sound/video-media, which is designed for museums, art galleries, and exhibition spaces.
Both of the B Cell City projects are based on B Cell Lymphoma. Although both projects originate from the same idea, they are different in the output. The installation project is aimed with a more didactic purpose to public education in support of research and cautionary measures in fighting cancer.
However both projects include scientist Dr. Antonio Giordano, President of Sbarro Health Reserach Organization, medical researchers from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, videographer Clare Ann Matz and soprano Darynn Zimmer.

The sound structure for both projects is organized by the well-known electronics live music team led by Alvise Vidolin in Venice, Italy. Also on the team is Roberto Fabbriciani, flutist. Fabbriciani has collaborated with the major composers of our times: Stockhausen, Ligeti, Kurtag, Ferneyhough, Berio, Nono, and Cage.
The B Cell City project is theatrical visual architecture, with a creative-scientific approach to the process of oncogenesis and tumor progression related to the crisis of environmental climate, which may be responsible, in part, for the mutation of the genes related to cancer. Our B Cell City will consider the new tendencies in science, medicine, and art.
To publicize further the B Cell City project, we have the special presence of Maurizo Zanolla, aka Manolo. Manolo will climb the tallest building in the city where we are invited. Manolo is considered in the world as the best free climber of vertical creativity. He lives in the Feltrine Dolomites of Italy. With the exploits of Manolo, cancer will be seen as a mountain to be conquered.
