Charles Matz, librettist, alumnus of Columbia University [1949], MA in Medieval Studies; and studies at Sorbonne in Paris [1947]. Taught creative writing at Notre Dame University in Indiana, and lived for 20 years in Italy where he taught at IULM Universities in Milan and Feltre. Has worked in Manhattan with Norman Mailer, and in Pieve di Soligo with Andrea Zanzotto.
In London, Matz collaborated with Hallam Tennyson for BBC Radio covering Italian literature. Matz was also the Iconographer for 60 windows of the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, USA, including the spectacular West Window Rose.
